Growing up, I wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to say when people asked me, “What are you?”. It took a long time for me to be able to identify myself, for myself.
I’m not just one or the other. I’ve never felt fully Black and I know the world doesn’t see the white part of me. I really vibe with being Both And. It makes sense to me and honors both expressions of my family.
